QUESTION: We own a rental property at the beach and only get down there a couple of times a year. We want no maintenance landscaping. Can you help us? ANSWER: Sorry, there is no such thing as no maintenance landscaping. At some point in time, landscaping has to be attended to. This question is the most asked question we receive. Terra Company can create a very low maintenance landscape theme. These yards usually requre seasonal or monthly maintenance, we will be happy to set up either type of maintenance account.
QUESTION: We are in the final stages of building our home. Should we hire a landscape architect(LA) to create a landscape plan for us? ANSWER: You may want to give Terra Company an opportunity to give you landscaping ideas before spending money with an LA. We are very familiar with our areas special characteristics. We give free estimates and can design a plan to suit your needs and wishes. If you are not satisfied with our recommenddations, then by all means contact an LA. QUESTION: My home is being built by a contractor who has his own landscaper. We have seen your work and wish to use you services. What should we do? ANSWER: Most contractors have a lanscaper they recommend or sub out. We have worked with many contractors in the area. Your contractor will be able to give you a budget for landscaping. We can work with the contractor or with the home owner for payment. We will work within your budget and your guarantee will be with Terra Company. QUESTION: Does Terra Company have all the necessary insurance and permits to handle my landscaping project? ANSWER: Terra Company has workmans comp. insurance as well as liability insurance. We obtain required permits and include any fees in the cost of the project. QUESTION: We have a maintenance contract with Terra Company. It is for one year and we presently have our home listed for sale. Will we be responsible for the entire contract if we sell before the contract is over? ANSWER: If you notify Tera Company and give 30 days written notice, you can cancel the contract without penalty. An amount may be due you or Terra Company based on a pro rata system and the amount of work performed on the property during the contract period.
